Christine Anderson is an original native of Northern California and more specifically, the Bay Area. She was born in San Francisco, and her family moved to San Jose where she grew-up, right along with Silicon Valley. She currently resides in Concord after she married the love of her life, Robert Anderson. Rob is a CPA and is the President and Founder of Anderson & Company, a CPA Firm recently re-established (http://www.andersoncpas.biz) as well as President of Northgate Advisors (http://www.northgateadvisors.biz) a Wealth Management Firm in Walnut Creek.
Christine has been in the insurance industry since 1988 where she started out as a receptionist at the Principal Mutual Life Insurance Company in San Jose. She quickly needed more challenge and began her career as an Executive Assistant for a successful agent. She soon after got licensed and focused her talents in the Employee Benefits field where she served her clients in a more effective way. She also served on the board of her local Association of Health Underwriters (SVAHU) for over 5 years, which helped increase her knowledge of the industry. She currently works with individual clients as well as small groups from 2-49.
On the “fun” side, Christine took up golf in July of 2003, when she and her husband Rob married. They are new members at Oakhurst Country Club in Clayton, CA (http://www.oakhurstcc.com), and they are looking forward to good times there. She was the 2005 Captain of the women’s 9-hole group and in 2012 was the Captain of the women’s 18-hole group at her prior country club. She and Rob love to play golf competitively, and just for fun, locally and when they travel. They also actively attend and volunteer in many areas at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Walnut Creek. Christine also has a love for nature, animals and wildlife and volunteers 3-hours per week as a Wildlife Rehabilitations Volunteer at the Lindsay Wildlife Hospital. During those busy seasons, she can feed a tiny baby hummingbird and then be off to handling a full grown Great Horned Owl on the same day. In her spare time, she likes to read, gather with people at her home and elsewhere, Facebook, take art classes and occasionally will be caught organizing things…such as her Pintrest Boards!
